The Software Builder LLC designs and builds powerful and sophisticated
decision support, database and web-based software solutions that bridge the gap
between data and decision, enabling decision makers in business, the professions
and the non-profit sector to separate the important from the irrelevant.
Client applications have included original software developed for
telecommunications companies, law firms, medical clinics, managed care
organizations, retail chains, banks and other financial services organizations.
The language of choice for desktop and network
applications is C++, with SQL used for querying relational databases.
Client-side web-based applications are written in various combinations of
XHTML, JavaScript and — where necessary — Java, while PHP is now
used for most server-side processing (although some older applications are
still using Perl) along with the MySQL RDBMS. Applications also have been
written in FORTRAN, BASIC, Pascal, COBOL and assembly language, as well as
several other scripting languages.
Both fixed-price and per-hour billing options are
available, depending on the nature of the project and the client’s
requirements.
